    Description

    SONY TC-K700ES (same as international model TC-K333ESX) 3-Head 2 Capstan CASSETTE DECK Dolby B C New Belt.  Made in Japan about 1988.  Great 3 head deck, has digital tape counter, Record calibration for level and fine control of bias, 1/4" headphone output as well as volume control for headphone.  Line in and Line Out Standard RCA jacks.  Great solid deck about 18 pounds.  Inside is nice looking with marked ES power transformer and I assume separate audio and power boards.  Nice induction drive motor for perfect speed, I just installed a brand new drive belt (it only has one).  Tested for play and record.  The fast forward and rewind is slow compared to many decks, drags a bit near end of rewind.  I adjusted the tension spring all the way to max, so not much more to do there.  Plays great.  Eject mechanism on door is not damped (perhaps it was when new, but has lost that a bit).  Opens fine, just with authority. Some cosmetic flaws on case, not bad.   Black color shiny case.
