It delivers
outstanding performance in every basic aspect, thanks to original Nakamichi
technology such as the discrete 3-head system and the direct-drive dual capstan
transport.

This
Nakamichi MR-1M is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B and C noise reduction
with connectors for optional external DBX, DNL, Adres, Super-d or High-ComII
noise reduction systems
Connection to
professional audio equipment with balanced lines is made easy by the versatile
input/output configuration providing balanced XLR connectors for input and
output as well as balanced 1/4-inch type input jacks.

Typical front
loading cassette deck with the cassette compartment located on the center of
the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be
placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.

Level meters
used on the MR-1M are generic digital peak reading meters. Full-logic transport
controls used on the MR-1M let it respond to the slightest finger contact for
fast and effortless transport function selection.
Playback
speed may be adjusted with pitch control.
Dolby C-type
used in the MR-1M provides 20 dB of noise reduction above about 1,000 Hz, fully
doubling the amount given by B-type. A Subsonic filter is provided in the MR-1M
to prevent infrasonic signals generated when playing a warped record. These
signals can upset the Dolby system and prevening it from functioning properly.
The 19kHz multiplex pilot slgnal present in FM stereo broadcasts can cause
false triggering of the noise reduction system. The switchable MPX filter of
the MR-1M filters out the pilot signal, and assuring proper Dolby processing of
FM stereo programs.
For
undisturbed listening a jack connector for a pair of stereo headphones is
supplied.
All main
transport commands can be remotely control with a optional wired remote controller.
