Cosmetic Condition:
Upon inspection of the device,
I noticed the type of scuffs and scratches that happen with normal use.
There is minor corrosion and noticeable scratches to the front of the device (see pictures #1-#4).
The wood veneer is peeling at the edges on both sides of the device (see pictures #5 and #9).
There are heavier scratches on the right side of the device (see picture #9).
There is noticeable cosmetic damage to the rear of the device (see pictures #6-#8).
There is heavier corrosion and discoloration to the bottom of the device (see picture #11).
All jacks and connectors are in good cosmetic condition.
Working Condition:
I was able to power on the device with the attached power cord.
The display bar meter lights illuminate green.
The yellow light behind the cassette deck powers on.
The Auto Mute Seconds display lights illuminate red.
The cassette deck was tested using an in-house cassette tape.
The Pause, Rewind, Stop, Play, Fast Forward, and Eject buttons are tested to be working.
The Tape Counter and Reset button for the tape counter are tested to be working.
The Output knob is tested to be working.
I was able to see a change in volume on the display bar meter.
The Peak/VU button changes from Peak to VU on the display bar meter.
The Dolby NR selector is tested to be working.
I was able to hear the change in filters when music was played on the cassette deck.
I was able to test the Phones jack to be working using an in-house pair of headphones.
I was able to test the Line Out Jack to be working using an in-house media player.
Non-Working Condition:
The Auto Mute and Record buttons are nonfunctional.
Using an in-house microphone, I was able to test the Mic L/R jack to be nonfunctional.
Using an in-house media player, I was able to test the Line Out jack to be nonfunctional.
Untested:
The Timer Start switch, Auto System knob, Tape Selector knob, Rec Level L-R knob, and remote port are untested.
No further testing could be completed due to lack of knowledge and/or resources.
The device is sold as is as a partially working item that needs repair.
No accessories included.
