Vintage Onkyo TA-630D Cassette Deck - Nice

Description

Vintage Onkyo TA-630D Cassette Deck.  Nice late '70s stereo tape deck.  Features: chunky black VU meters with red LED peak level indicators, automated tape bias leveling system (deck plays tones on record to help you dial in the bias), rewind memory (deck can auto stop when counter reaches zero), tape type selection, Dolby noise reduction and Dolby FM, Chunky piano keys for playback controls and silver color knobs (the larger twist knobs are aluminum capped), auto start at power on for timed record or playback.  Incandescent bulbs were changed out for white LEDs (record light, auto bias light, VU meters and cassette compartment light) the other LED indicators are original.  Installed new belts and lubricated the transport.  Replaced the larger capacitors (mostly in the power supply section).  All controls and switches were cleaned with contact cleaner.  All functions work as expected but I was unable to test microphone or DIN input (no noise on mic input when selected, the DIN plug seems to be wired to the RCA input - since I could hear the other source when that was selected) - so both likely work fine.  Unable to test Dolby FM recording - don't think that's a thing anymore.  Condition is great with one small slice in the black vinyl coating of the case on the top corner of the  right side.  Pictured cassette is for demo only and not included.
